    Accident claim in Humberside

The interesting thing about Humberside is that it physically doesn’t really exist anymore. Once upon a time it was a metropolitan area that bordered North Yorkshire to the north and west, South Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire to the south-west, and Lincolnshire to the south on the East Coast facing towards the North Sea.

When the are was re-classified, 4 new unitary authorities were formed, namely North Lincolnshire, North East Lincolnshire, Kingston-upon-Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire. However, the good news for those people that live in Humberside is that the name has continued to be used as a geographic term – encompassing the geography of the area – and it survives in the names of local institutions.

Whilst Humberside may not officially be classed as a region any longer, it is still a well-known and much loved part of the UK.
