    Accident at work in Kilwinning

Here at Accident Advice Helpline, we wish to provide assistance to those who may have suffered an accident at work in Kilwinning. On this page, we are going to take a little look at the three ‘tests’ we will check your case against before we are able to take it on. You will only be able to work with Accident Advice Helpline if your case meets these three checks.

    When did the accident occur?

For the most part, if you wish to claim for an accident at work in Kilwinning, the incident must have occurred within the last three years. There are, however, a few exceptions to this rule. For example, you will be able to work with Accident Advice Helpline if you are suffering from an industrial disease i.e. a condition that you are suffering from now which may have been triggered by past work that you carried out.

If it is an industrial disease you want to make a claim for, you have three years from the date your illness is diagnosed to get it started.

If you are unsure as to whether you are able to make a claim for compensation or not, please do not hesitate to get in touch with our team. We would absolutely love to help you out. Remember, if you leave your claim too late, you may actually lose the right to claim the compensation that you are entitled to. It is, therefore, in your best interests to claim sooner as opposed to later. Thankfully, here at Accident Advice Helpline we make things as easy as possible for you. The vast majority of claims can be dealt with over the telephone.

    Were you injured?

As a personal injury law firm, we are only able to work with you if you have actually suffered an injury in the work place. However, it is worth noting that it does not matter too much what your injury was as we can provide assistance with both minor and severe injuries. Before you get in touch with us, however, we do ask that you provide us with a medical report which highlights the extent of your injuries. Without this, we will be unable to proceed with your compensation claim.

Who was at fault for the accident?

We can’t provide assistance if you were the party at fault for your injury in the workplace. We can provide assistance if your employer was at fault, for instance, if they provided you with incorrect or faulty safety equipment for use at work. We can also provide assistance if the workplace was not clean which led to your injuries occurring or even if the workplace did not have adequate safety training procedures in place.
