    Youth club accident claim

You can make a youth club accident claim with Accident Advice Helpline if you have sustained a personal injury during the last three years that was due to the negligence of a third party. Making a compensation claim will pay for the costs associated with your injuries. For example, our solicitors can secure a package that covers the money you may have lost due to being forced to stay at home, pay for counselling, or pay for private treatment. All cases are different, so call our free 24-hour helpline to tell us your story and to confirm your eligibility.

    Can I file a claim?

There is a national network of more than 3,500 youth clubs and groups located across the United Kingdom. These clubs allow those aged between 10 and 21 to take part in activities such as table tennis, football, and basketball. Physical activities always carry a risk of injury, even if health and safety measures are put in place. However, if you think that the accident you were involved in could have been prevented, or that the equipment you used, or surface you played on contributed to your injuries then someone may be liable.

Frequent youth club accidents include trips and falls. The volunteers and workers at youth clubs have a duty of care to protect young people, so they must exercise due diligence for all activities, as well as the maintenance of the youth centre itself. You could make a claim if you slipped on a wet floor and broke an arm due to the area not being signposted properly, or if you were struck on the head by a tile or other object that had not been flagged as a risk by staff. If a third party is negligent in any way, then you have the right to claim for compensation if you were subsequently injured.

    Obtaining compensation
