    Is workplace bullying compensation a real option?

    If we were to ask you about compensation, what would be the first thing to come to mind? It is very unlikely you would think of workplace bullying compensation. Instead, you’d probably think of compensation paid to those who were injured in accidents that were caused by others. Car accidents, accidents at work, and perhaps even accidents while out shopping – you’d be forgiven for thinking of all these things first. Indeed, compensation relating to bullying probably wouldn’t occur to you at all.

    Yet there have been cases where people have asked about compensation possibilities relating to such incidents. Being bullied isn’t something that only happens among young people at school. Unfortunately, while all instances of bullying are quite rare, they do still occur, and they can still potentially happen at work, too.

    What could you receive in compensation?

    These cases are very difficult to assess without knowing all the facts. No two cases will be identical, since methods of bullying can vary widely. However, it does make sense to seek proper advice from someone who deals with such claims relating to being bullied. Remember, too, that mental upset and stress derived from bullying in the workplace can be just as devastating as any physical injuries that may occur.

Having a record of the complaint and official recognition of any injuries you have, either physical, emotional or mental in nature, can help support a claim if you do decide to go ahead and make one at some point having sought some advice.
