"If you've been injured through no fault of your own you could be entitled to compensation. If you're unsure if you could claim, I recommend you call Accident Advice Helpline."

Will my compensation claim require a lot of paperwork?

Accidents can occur at any time whether you are at home, at work or just going about your daily business outdoors. If you are unfortunate enough to get involved in an accident caused by someone else’s negligence, you have a right to make a compensation claim.

In simple terms, a compensation claim is a claim for money to compensate you for both physical and psychological injuries sustained due to an accident. A compensation claim is also meant to reimburse any financial expenses you incurred. These expenses include, but are not limited to, medical fees, loss of earnings and cost of care where applicable.

You can file a compensation claim as long as someone else is to blame for the accident and the incident must have happened within the last three years. You should also have sustained injuries and sought medical attention for them.

Who will deal with the paperwork?

Making compensation claims is a long and arduous process. There are numerous regulations and legislations to follow coupled with a lot of paperwork. Trying to file a compensation claim on your own will only leave you worn out and frustrated.

That is why we strive to make the whole compensation process as easy and hassle-free for you as we possibly can.

Although you might be required to fill out a few forms, we do most of the paperwork for you. Any details we need confirmed plus any information we need to relay to you can be dealt with via telephone, emails and in writing.

We shoulder all the pain and stress throughout the process, leaving you to concentrate on the most important thing – recuperating from your injuries.

What does filing a compensation claim involve?

You should submit a compensation claim as soon as you possibly can after an accident. The law allows up to three years for you to do this but the sooner you do so, the better.

We make it easy for you to do this. Simply fill in the claim form found on our website or give us a call on 0800 689 0500 and one of our friendly, experienced and legally trained advisers will get in touch with you for a free, no-obligation consultation. The adviser will discuss details of the case with you and will give you advice on whether you can proceed with your claim.

If you agree to proceed, we will pass on your case to a solicitor who specialises in such claims. This solicitor will talk you through the whole process and will deal with all the legal paperwork on your behalf. You will be kept informed on the progress of your case every step of the way.

You should remember that we handle all cases on a 100% no win, no fee* basis. This means you will not pay any fees if you do not win your case.
