"If you've been injured through no fault of your own you could be entitled to compensation. If you're unsure if you could claim, I recommend you call Accident Advice Helpline."

    Vaccination accident counselling

If you had an accident while receiving a vaccination, you may be looking for vaccination accident counselling. Accident Advice Helpline was established in 2000 and can potentially help you raise a claim for financial compensation for your vaccination injury, which could in turn help pay towards private counselling costs.

The benefits of being vaccinated are that you minimise the risk of contracting potentially dangerous, even fatal, diseases. There are a range of vaccinations available to you, some which protect you against diseases you can contract at home in Britain, and some of which are specifically designed for protection against diseases more commonly found abroad. Many people are vaccinated at any early age against a range of diseases, but other vaccinations can be received later in life, some before you go on a foreign trip.

Sometimes, receiving a vaccination can lead to an injury. Although your doctor or other medical personnel are trained in health and safety regulations, a lack of attention, medical negligence or even recklessness can result in an injury.

If you suffered a vaccination accident that was caused by someone else and this happened to you in the last three years, you may be able to claim financial compensation for it.

How can claiming financial compensation help me?

As part of your recovery process, your doctor or other medical staff may have prescribed counselling. If a doctor advises counselling, it is because he or she thinks that it is necessary to speed up the mental healing process. You can of course find psychological counselling on the NHS, but there are typically long waiting lists, due to a combination of restricted budgets and patient demand. If this is the case, you may find that private counselling is your best option. Private counselling can of course be expensive. This is where a claim for financial compensation for your vaccination accident could help.

    Private counselling costs

Whereas NHS counselling is free, private counselling is not and can be very expensive. Accident Advice Helpline can potentially help you recover any private counselling costs. These costs may not be limited to the counsellor’s fees alone. You may find you have increased costs from travel to the counsellor and perhaps lost wages from having to attend counselling sessions. Your personal injury compensation claim may therefore be one of the best ways you have to pay towards such increased expenses.

How can I claim financial compensation?

To be eligible for a financial claim for compensation, your accident must have happened in the last three years and must be someone else’s fault. If you suffered a severe reaction to your vaccination that your doctor or other medical staff should have foreseen, or if you were injured through your doctor’s negligence or even recklessness, you should keep any medical records relating to your vaccination injury.
