Pompeii is a town near Naples in the Campania region of Italy. It was devastated by a large volcanic eruption in 340 BC which wiped out the entire town coating it in a large covering of molten lava and ash.
Today, it is a famous landmark, with tourists from all over the world visiting Pompeii. This is our survival guide to avoiding accident claims; in particular slips, trips, and falls.
Watch your step to avoid a slip, trip, or fall injury while visiting Pompeii
This one seems like an obvious way of avoiding a trip claim but in an old city such as Pompeii this is especially important. This is because there are many obstacles which could cause a fall injury including; cart ruts, high pavements and poles, which all can be avoided if you simply look at where you are walking.
The cart ruts in the road are especially hazardous as they are quite indented and can cause a nasty trip injury. If you want to be extra safe then stick to the pavement as much as you can.
Plan your route when visiting Pompeii
When you are going on any type of journey it is always best to plan your route before you go, and as Pompeii is such a large city it would be a good idea to do some planning in advance to avoid slips, trips, or falls.Open Claim Calculator
