A civil engineering contractor is to roll out specialist software across its business to help protect its workers and raise awareness of health and safety at work issues.
O’Brien Contractors has been conducting an office-based trial of Reference Point’s SkillSight software.
Training coordinator Kelly Davis says the skills management software will now be rolled out across the business over the next few months following the trial’s success.
Software keeps tabs on training records
She says the system has already improved the management of the Leamington Spa-based company’s training records and helped to ensure employees have the skills they need to carry out their work safely by attending the necessary training courses.
The software also helps firms make sure their workers’ qualifications and accreditations are kept up to date.
And it also enables them to add workers’ qualifications and training to their Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) smartcards. Information on the cards, which can be edited online, can then be read on site or in offices.
