"If you've been injured through no fault of your own you could be entitled to compensation. If you're unsure if you could claim, I recommend you call Accident Advice Helpline."

    Slide accident claim

If you or your child were injured on a slide at a children’s playground, you might be able to make a slide accident claim. You may have been helping your young child up on to the slide when you fell because of a faulty handrail, or your youngster may have been hurt as he or she was caught on a protrusion on the slide itself. Whatever the cause of the accident, you may be able to make a claim so long as you were not to blame.

Of course, you can make a claim on your own behalf, or for your child as a litigation friend. Generally you will have a three-year deadline from the time of the incident to make a slide accident claim, but this time limit will not apply for your child.

    Starting the claims process

Making a claim is a complicated legal process. You will have to show that, not only were you not responsible for the accident, but who actually was responsible, as the claim will be made against them. Therefore, you should choose to seek assistance from legal professionals such as those at Accident Advice Helpline.

We are a legal firm that has been advising and assisting people with their personal injury claims for many years. Our team of lawyers work on a no win, no fee** basis, so if you want them to assist with your slide accident claim, you will not have to pay anything upfront.

Proving that you have grounds for a claim

To make a slide accident claim, you will need to have proof of what happened. One way is to take a picture of the slide, particularly of any faults which led to you, your child, or both of you being injured. If possible, you should take the names and contact details of anyone who saw the accident. All of this information, along with your own statement, will help us decide if you do indeed have grounds for a claim.

You will also need to have proof of the injuries caused. This means seeing your doctor as the medical report will detail those injuries. The report could also play a key part in the amount of compensation awarded should your claim be successful.

You should also keep records and receipts for any financial losses suffered because of the accident. This will include wages lost and the cost of travel to treatment appointments, as these costs can also be included in the claim.

Any accident, particularly if it is to a child, is upsetting for a family. That is why you should contact us at Accident Advice Helpline about making a slide accident claim without delay.
