"If you've been injured through no fault of your own you could be entitled to compensation. If you're unsure if you could claim, I recommend you call Accident Advice Helpline."

What is Road Safety GB (RSGB)?

Road Safety GB is a national organisation that focuses on enhancing road safety across Great Britain. The idea is to reduce the number of accidents that happen on the roads. They do this by a number of means but primarily the idea is to raise awareness of what can be done to enhance safety on our roads today.

The organisation gets involved at government level as well as making sure safe road procedures and measures are properly recognised. They also support a lot of research into what causes accidents so the right measures can be taken to help prevent them in the future. This multi-pronged approach helps ensure the roads become a safer place for us all to use as we learn from and apply their findings.

Can you claim compensation if an accident does occur?

No one wants to be involved in any kind of accident, but sometimes other people’s actions can affect us. If this should occur you may find you are the victim of an accident that was not your fault. If it can be proven that someone else caused the accident and there is evidence they did so, you may be able to make a claim for compensation for any damages or injuries you incurred as a result.

Of course the experience itself is a shocking one and you may well not think about compensation claims immediately. You will have to come to terms with the outcome of the accident and consider whether or not to bring such a claim. Fortunately there is a three year period during which you can consider this aspect and it starts from the date of the accident itself.
