"If you've been injured through no fault of your own you could be entitled to compensation. If you're unsure if you could claim, I recommend you call Accident Advice Helpline."

Personal injury compensation – all you need to know

Most people these days know that they can get personal injury compensation if they are hurt in almost any circumstances when it is not their fault. Not many locations are exempt, although accidents in the home are not generally considered. Not everyone knows how easy it is to start the process, however. When legal aid was withdrawn for this kind of case, the no win no fee* method was put in place instead and this is the system that is used at Accident Advice Helpline. This means that there is no payment up front and the initial advice on their Freephone number is free.

    Experienced personal injury lawyers

AAH has been operating since 2000 so you can see that they have a wide experience of all kinds of personal injury claims. The incident can be a relatively minor slip, trip or fall or it can relate to a life-changing road accident or an industrial injury or disease. Sometimes, the effects don’t show immediately – for example, a broken bone may cause pain even after it has healed which makes working or walking difficult – which is why there is a three year window during which you can begin a case. This is extended in some cases but it is still preferable to begin proceedings as soon as possible.

    Tell us all about it

Sometimes, discussing your personal injury compensation case can be very upsetting, but there is no need to worry because all of our lawyers are used to hearing all kinds of details on the phone. If you are worried about facing the person who caused your injury there is no need to worry about that either, because court appearances are not the norm and most of the cases can be dealt with on the phone. You may need to see doctors for second opinions, but that will of course be totally confidential.

    Timescale and amounts vary

The two things that our lawyers can’t foresee are the length of time your case will take to be resolved and the exact amount of the payment. It is possible to give an informed guesstimate, but that is all it can be. However, depending on the severity of the personal injury and the complexity of the situation, that guess is usually quite accurate. With the consumer champion Esther Rantzen as our patron, we are proud to say that we are one of the most trusted personal injury law firms you can find.
