If you are the victim of an accident, or injury, sustained whilst jogging outdoors, it is vital that you seek high-quality outdoor jogging injury advice. It can mean the difference between suffering unnecessarily, after an accident which was not your fault, and being financially vindicated for an injury which should never have occurred in the first place.
At Accident Advice Helpline we are committed to helping you get your recovery back on track – whether that means helping you to arrange suitable counselling, or deciding to proceed with a case for compensation in the small claims court.
Why should I choose Accident Advice Helpline?
We are a long-established personal injury law firm with over 14 years of experience and an unrivalled reputation for getting the job done. If you decide to work with us your claim will be treated as the uniquely individual case that it so obviously is. In addition, our expert solicitors work on a no win, no fee basis.
What is an outdoor jogging injury?
Whilst jogging is generally a very healthy and relaxing activity, it does come with various risks –especially if the environment in which you are jogging is not as safe or as well maintained as it should be. This can refer to a number of different things, particularly in regards to public spaces like parks.
The ground (concrete or grass) may be cracked or uneven, due to broken or warped surfaces. There may be an unacceptable amount of litter on the ground – glass, in particular, is a big risk to joggers if they fall or misstep. During the autumn and winter months, the authorities responsible for public spaces have a duty to make sure that slippery leaves are cleared and removed.
Am I eligible for compensation?
Whilst you cannot claim for injuries resulting from personal negligence, such as the failure to adhere to clear safety warnings and signals, the failure to wear protective equipment after dark or the decision to jog on a surface which is clearly unsuitable, you may be eligible for compensation if you were involved in an outdoor jogging accident, that was the result of a poorly-maintained environment.
Your injury must have occurred within the last three years, and must be the result of third party negligence. To find out if you are eligible, simply pick up the phone and call our free 24-hour helpline on 0800 689 0500.
You can also call this number if you are looking for additional outdoor jogging injury advice from a qualified expert. The after effects of an injury of this kind can be far reaching. If you have experienced any loss of earnings, this will be factored into your claim.
