A welder from Borehamwood who was crushed by a forklift truck while working in East Ham has been awarded over £10,000 in personal injury compensation.
He became trapped between the forklift and a skip after a colleague failed to spot him while moving some scrap metal.
The man had to be rushed to hospital. He was diagnosed with 15 broken ribs, a collapsed lung and damage to his spine.
Personal injury specialists Accident Advice Helpline gave him free expert advice and advised him how to claim compensation. With their help he was awarded £10,124, for his back injuries and loss of earnings.
