    Injured on holiday in Thailand?

    Millions of people flock to Thailand for a holiday every single year, and it is easy to see why. It boasts some sensational destinations including Bangkok, Sing Buri and Samut Prakan. No matter where you stay you are bound to enjoy a plethora of experiences. Stunning sights include the Khmer ruins and the almost overwhelming weekend market of Chatuchak.

    While few people are injured on holiday or fall ill, when it does happen it can be upsetting and disruptive. If you have already experienced this situation on holiday in Thailand or anywhere else, keep reading to find out what you should do.

    Who would be at fault?

    This is the first question to answer. If proven negligence is the cause of your accident or illness you have a chance to claim compensation. The company you booked your Thailand holiday through will be responsible for providing a good holiday with no danger or hazards present.

    This covers everything from walking through the hotel you are staying in to eating in their restaurant. Whatever happens, you should get advice to see whether the fault is with the tour operator.

    What can you do?

    You should get as much evidence as possible when it comes to the incident that has occurred. Photos of injuries are a good idea because injuries do often fade, even if they do not disappear altogether.

    Photos of bruises, cuts and other injuries will support any case you are able to bring. Reporting the incident to those in charge in the hotel, or to a tour guide if there is one present, is a good idea too.
