"If you've been injured through no fault of your own you could be entitled to compensation. If you're unsure if you could claim, I recommend you call Accident Advice Helpline."

    Injured on holiday in Russia?

Russia may not be the first country you think about when planning your next holiday. However, for some people it would be the break of a lifetime. You can book to visit places such as St Petersburg and Moscow, or explore other cities including Sochi or Kazan. Alternatively you could head into the countryside to see the side of Russia few actually get to see.

Whatever you do you would expect the tour operator you book your holiday with to take care of your every need. You would also expect them to provide the accommodation you book into, enabling you to enjoy the best holiday you could hope for.

    Your holiday in Russia ruined

Your dream holiday could quite easily be ruined if you were to contract an illness, suffer an injury or have an accident while you were there. In some cases these instances are caused through the actions (or lack thereof) of an employee at the relevant hotel or accommodation. If it can be proven that such an injury or illness is the fault of the UK tour operator who booked and provided the holiday itself, the person who suffered can claim for compensation.

If you are ever on holiday in Russia and you are involved in an incident of any kind that leads to an injury – whether relatively minor or more serious – the first course of action should be to seek help. This can help support any claims you may later be able to make, although of course reporting any injury is a good idea as you can seek medical attention if need be.
