"If you've been injured through no fault of your own you could be entitled to compensation. If you're unsure if you could claim, I recommend you call Accident Advice Helpline."

How to cope with the stress of an accident claim

Most people who are unlucky enough to be involved in an accident are left shaken by the experience and many suffer stress in the aftermath. This isn’t the ideal time to have to cope with a complicated legal process, which is why many people hesitate to make an accident claim and end up missing out on compensation that should rightfully be theirs.

Because we have extensive experience in working with accident victims and know how stressful the claims process can be, we’ve worked out ways to make it all much easier. If you take your claim forward with us you won’t have to worry about additional problems. We’ll take it at your pace and do the hard work for you. You won’t even need to worry about paying us as there are no upfront charges and we normally recover money from the other side.

Taking the stress out of talking about it

We know that talking about your accident can be hard, so we’ve devised two different ways you can approach it. Firstly, if you don’t feel like talking at all, you can make an initial assessment of your situation using our online compensation claim calculator, then get in touch using our online claim form. Secondly, if you do want to talk, we can be available for you seven days a week, at any time of the day or night. Unlike some other claim solicitors, we won’t put any pressure on you and you’ll be free to pull out if it all feels too much. We’ll just talk you through your options and give you the information you need to make a decision.

It’s easy to make an accident claim

If you do decide to make a claim, it couldn’t be more straightforward.  We have a network of expert solicitors across the UK, so we’ll be able to find someone local to you with the right specialisation. Your solicitor will take care of the paperwork and any complicated legal issues. You can choose the extent to which you want to be kept informed.

We’re able to deal with many of our cases entirely over the phone, with no need for court appearances. If you need to have a medical assessment to confirm your injuries, your solicitor will sort out the details and the doctor that you see will be used to dealing with accident victims and will understand your stress. You won’t have to deal with any surprises.

    Finding closure

Making a claim can be important to your psychological recovery because it puts you back in control of the situation and helps you to stop feeling like a victim. It can also provide a sense of closure. Once the claiming process is complete, you’ll be able to put the whole business of the accident behind you and get on with your life. Even if you have lasting injuries, a successful claim can provide you with the help you need to cope with them and it can also pay for counselling to help you put the stress behind you once and for all.
