    Hotel swimming pool accident claim

If you have been unlucky enough to have a hotel swimming pool accident, you may be entitled to make a claim for compensation.  There are many options open to you, but it is also worth considering Accident Advice Helpline.  We specialise in personal injury claims and, as a reputable law firm, we can assure you of the best quality service.

    What you need to do

No matter where you are, whether at home or abroad, for your hotel break, if you have an accident, you should report it first to the hotel staff.  Each hotel will have an accident book which is where they will record the incident.  You may need a copy of this report when you make your claim.  For really serious injuries, it may be necessary to call the local police and also obtain a report from them regarding the events surrounding the accident, to back up the medical reports.  It is, perhaps, better to have a police report and not need it than to find there is a problem in making a claim because one was not obtained at the time.

    If you decide to claim

If you decide to make a hotel swimming pool accident claim, it might be a good idea to check to see if you are already covered for your accident on your holiday insurance.  We at Accident Advice Helpline can advise you of the best course of action whether you are insured or not.  We will let you know what paperwork we need in order to help your claim move as fast as possible.  We deal with everything for you so that you do not have the stress or worry associated with dealing with various departments, organisations or people in order to get the right information exactly where and when it needs to be.

    The hotel’s responsibility

Hotels have a responsibility to their guests to ensure their safety as much as possible while using the facilities.  Unfortunately, sometimes there are lapses and an accident can occur.  The lifeguard, who is meant to be watching guests using the pool, may step away from their post for a few minutes or become distracted with other things, or it could be that swimming pool equipment breaks or is faulty in some way.

When this happens it can be quite dangerous for guests and, therefore, the hotel could be liable.  Accident Advice Helpline can help someone who has been injured in a hotel swimming pool accident to make a claim against those responsible.  There may be fees payable out of any compensation awarded, but Accident Advice Helpline is here to make sure that you get everything you deserve.  We also offer a no win, no fee service.
