Horse dies and woman seriously injured in East Sussex road accident

A 40-year old woman has been injured following an accident in East Sussex.

The woman was travelling in a camper van with two other men and two children when it struck a group of five horses in the middle of the road near Clayhill. One of the horses had to be put down by a vet and two others needed treatment.

The woman’s injuries are described as serious and she had to be cut free from the camper van. The two men also required hospital treatment, but are expected to make a full recovery. The children were unhurt.
