Holiday survivor guide: Negotiating the arrival airport

You have arrived at your destination and you are excited and raring to get out and start exploring, But, first you need to navigate and be negotiating the arrival airport. Here is our survival guide to avoiding travel accidents.

Keep your belongings with you at all times while negotiating the arrival airport

This is a must when you are in a busy airport. All it takes is leaving your suitcase unattended for one minute for it to be stolen. Always make sure you keep hold of it and never take your eye off it. The last thing you need is for your luggage to go missing and to have to make a travel accident claim.

Look where you are going to avoid a travel injury

This seems pretty obvious but not everyone does. Most people are fixated on the exit sign so will not necessarily be looking where they are going. So, always make sure you are aware of your surroundings to avoid any travel accidents.

If you don’t look where you are walking you may end up tripping on someone’s luggage, walking in to someone, or worse. So ,to prevent a travel accident injury, look where you are going and all around you, not just where you want to be.

Report any suspicious people or items wile negotiating the arrival airport

They always say it over the microphone and there are usually signs and posters around the airport but it is a serious matter. If you do see anyone acting suspiciously or you see any items which have been left unattended always report, as you never know who or what it could be.

    Open Claim Calculator

Trust your gut instinct, if it is telling you something isn’t right then you may be right and by reporting it you may avoid numerous travel accident injury claims from not just yourself but other travellers.
