    What is Health@Work?

Health@Work is an independent charity which aims to promote a healthier, happier workplace. Established in 1994, the organisation is at the cutting edge of health and safety in the workplace. Health@Work provides support for all sizes of organisations when it comes to health, safety and well-being, including assistance developing policies, risk assessments and audits.

The organisation prides itself on being:

    • Effective – it provides an efficient and professional service
    • Innovative – services are delivered in a fun, interactive way to increase interest in health and safety issues
    • Respected – Health@Work has been developing and delivering new ways to promote health, safety and well-being at work since 1990, and has received local, national and international recognition for their workplace

The charity is often commissioned by government authorities and agencies to provide workplace well-being programmes. Their aim is to ensure that staff are happier and healthier whilst at work. If you have been involved in an accident at work, which you believe was caused by your employer’s negligence, you can find out whether your organisation is meeting health and safety requirements by contacting the Health and Safety Executive. A personal injury lawyer will be able to assist you and tell you whether you may have a viable claim for compensation.

    Accidents at work

Accidents in the workplace are unfortunately all too common, and some of the time they can be avoided, by implementing better health and safety procedures and policies. For example, heavy machinery should always be operated by members of staff who have received proper training, and guards should always be in place to protect operators. If you have been injured in any way at work, contacting a personal injury lawyer within three years of your accident will allow you to explore your options and see if you may be eligible to claim compensation.
