Where to get classroom injury compensation advice

Every day when the schools are in, thousands of pupils are taught by hundreds of teachers in classrooms across the country. You may not think a classroom poses much of a risk to anyone who uses it, and you would definitely be right in the majority of cases. However, there can be incidents that occur where someone ends up being hurt when they did not expect to be. It is in this sort of situation that people are likely to look for classroom injury compensation advice.

Health and safety is just as important in a classroom as it is in a wide variety of other situations. For example, if the classroom is filled with chairs that are old and no longer fit for purpose, they could potentially cause injury if they were to collapse when someone sat down on them. The same applies if the desks are not safe to be used any more.

Are injuries a common occurrence in classrooms?

No – they are anything but common. Most pupils and teachers will go in and out of classrooms time and time again and never run into any problems. However, when someone is injured, perhaps because inappropriate care has been taken to attend to health and safety matters, there is a chance the injury could affect them in many ways.

Even something being spilled in a classroom could cause a serious injury if someone slipped over in it. Proper cleaning on a regular basis should ensure things like this don’t happen. However, if someone is unlucky, whether they are a teacher, a pupil or another school worker, they should find out more about the possibility of claiming compensation.

Were you hurt in a similar manner?

If you were caught up in an accident in the classroom that led to you being injured in some manner, you do have a right to find out whether compensation could be payable. The best way to learn more about the situation is to get that advice from a team who cares, and that has the right experience to help.
