    Flywheel Accident Claim

It is not uncommon for accidents to occur when working around large-scale equipment or machinery, either at home or at work. If you are working in this kind of environment for a living, however, there are several safety criteria which must be met. If they are not, and an injury occurs as a result, you may be eligible to file for compensation – for example, you could file a flywheel accident claim.

A flywheel is a rapidly rotating mechanical device which is used to store rotational energy. These mechanical components are regularly used within motors and large-scale industrial machines, and can be extremely hazardous if the necessary health and safety guidelines aren’t in place. Flywheels can reach great speeds, and are capable of causing serious damage to limbs and other body parts if things go wrong.

Am I eligible to make a claim?

If you are the victim of a flywheel accident that occurred within the last three years, and the accident was a direct result of the negligence of a third party, you might be eligible for financial compensation. In order to find out if your case is valid, you only need to pick up the phone and call the experts at Accident Advice Helpline on 0800 180 4123.

Our consultation process is both relaxed and simple to follow. It involves just six short questions that are designed, first and foremost, to make sure that your claim has a reasonable chance of being successful. We do not believe in a ‘one size fits all’ policy, so we will only agree to take on your case if we believe that it can be won.

How do I know who is responsible?

Whilst you cannot claim for an accident which was the result of your own negligence – for example, a direct failure to adhere to safety rules or guidelines – you are owed a specific duty of care if you work with or around flywheels. It is therefore imperative that you are given the right safety information.

It is also important that the equipment is well maintained, and that appropriate safety guards and features are installed to protect the physical well-being of operatives. As such, a flywheel accident claim can be justly sought if you feel that you have been injured as a result of negligence, on these or similar terms.
