A ferry service provider has been recognised for providing excellent health and safety for its workers.
Isle of Wight-based Red Funnel has been awarded the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents’ Order of Distinction for Occupational Health and Safety.
15 years of success
It was granted after the company achieved 15 consecutive years of Gold Awards and 5 Presidents Awards.
The Order of Distinction will be presented to Red Funnel by RoSPA at an awards ceremony at ExCeL London in June.
The RoSPA Awards have been running for 59 years to recognise commitment to continuous improvement in accident and ill health prevention at work.
Kevin George, CEO of Red Funnel says winning the award is a real honour.
Safety will always be the number one priority, he added, and he is very proud of the company’s safety culture and the proactive management of health and safety within the business.
