A female stock room worker was starting work when she was struck by a heavy duty ladder. The ladder had been propped up in an unsafe manner by a colleague, and as a result had slid and fallen on the woman causing her serious injuries.
She was knocked forward and hit her head on to some shelving.
After the accident she began to feel nauseous and developed intense pain in her head and neck. The following morning she was unable to move her neck, as the days went by the pain became unbearable.
The woman went to Hospital and was examined by a doctor who diagnosed her with a severe neck injury.
She visited www.accidentadvicehelpine.co.uk to find out how much compensation she would be able to claim. As the accident happened at work her employers were covered by their employers’ liability insurance. This meant that she received £3,433.30 for her pain and suffering.
