Esther Rantzen Helpline – Personal injury compensation
You can claim personal injury compensation if you have been injured in an accident that was not your fault, as long as your injuries needed medical attention. You have three years from the date of the accident in which to claim. You can also claim for any work-related illnesses or occupational diseases you have been diagnosed with. You have three years from first being diagnosed with the illnesses in which to file a personal injury compensation claim.
You can also claim for any illness which you contracted because of the negligence of another person. The most common one is food poisoning, which perhaps you got because the kitchen staff where you ate had not thoroughly washed the salad greens. This can be construed as negligence and you would have a case to claim damages as long as you had received medical treatment for food poisoning and had kept the receipt for the food which caused the illness.
Personal injury compensation covers the pain, distress and suffering caused to you as a result of your injuries, as well as loss of earnings and any expenses. The more severe your injury the more compensation you are likely to receive.
Accident Advice Helpline
We have been helping people like you with their personal injury compensation claims for more than a decade. We are a law firm that works with a team of in-house solicitors, who are experts in the field of personal injury compensation.
You can visit our website and find out more about us and how we might be able to help you. You can take the 30-second test™ which calculates how much you might receive in compensation if your claim were a success. This figure is only an estimate however, as no one is able to say exactly how much you could receive in compensation.
When you have completed the test, you might want to call us on one of our helpline numbers for expert legal advice about a prospective personal injury compensation claim. The numbers to ring are 0800 689 5659. Why not give us a ring right now?
