"If you've been injured through no fault of your own you could be entitled to compensation. If you're unsure if you could claim, I recommend you call Accident Advice Helpline."

    Docklands accident counselling

Following a traumatic accident on the docks, you will want to ensure that you have the best docklands accident counselling. If you have been injured while working or visiting docklands areas, your doctor may feel that the mental trauma of the injury needs to be treated just as much as the physical injury – and they will tell you if they think that counselling is necessary. Being referred for counselling is only the first step and you could find that it will take a long time for you to recover fully from your accident – even with a counsellor’s help. Accident Advice Helpline can assist you in covering any costs for private counselling.

Actually getting the counselling that you need is not that easy. In some regions of the UK, counselling services are subject to waiting lists and you may find that you cannot get the counselling you want when you need it. This can make your recovery even longer and is not fair to you.

    Is there a solution?

The good news is that there is a solution, but it may not be one that you like very much. You can arrange for counselling privately, but this means that you will have to pay for the sessions yourself. This is also unfair – the accident was not your fault but you have to pay out to make things right. However, you can keep in mind that there may be a way to get these costs back.

Making a personal injury claim could be the solution that you need. Financial compensation is something that you may be entitled to if the accident was not your fault and you have had other losses as well. This could include loss of earnings and other expenses such as travel or prescriptions.

    Should I make a claim?

If you call Accident Advice Helpline, we can figure out if you have strong grounds to make a personal injury claim. We do recommend this course of action if somebody else has caused your accident and you have suffered financial losses. This is why we recommend that people call our 24-hour free helpline as soon as possible after the accident. You can find out more about how to claim back your financial losses – including the cost of docklands accident counselling and we will be happy to explain to you how the whole claims process works.
