"If you've been injured through no fault of your own you could be entitled to compensation. If you're unsure if you could claim, I recommend you call Accident Advice Helpline."

    Distillery accident claim

You may feel that you are entitled to make a distillery accident claim if you were involved in a distillery accident that was not your fault.

What can go wrong at a distillery?

Like any workplace, distilleries must legally follow health and safety procedures and ensure that their equipment is properly maintained. If your employer has not upheld these obligations then accidents can occur. For example, working with flammable liquids means that there is a high risk of fire and in some cases certain liquids can combine to produce toxic gases such as chlorine. Anyone who handles barrels should wear the correct protective clothing and safety goggles to ensure that they are protected from the pure alcohol contained within. If your employer has neglected their duties and you are injured at a distillery as a result of their shortcomings, you could be entitled to pursue a distillery accident claim.

    Pursuing a claim

If you are wondering whether or not you can pursue a distillery accident claim, then contact Accident Advice Helpline. Founded in 2000, we have successfully managed thousands of accident claims where a personal injury resulted due to the negligence of someone other than the victim. We employ an army of personal injury solicitors who are experts in their field and have years of experience winning cases like distillery accident claims.

One call is all it takes to set you on the path for compensation. One of our advisors can take your call and they will compile the details of the accident that caused your injury. If we feel that you could file a successful claim then the advisor will pass your details to one of our expert solicitors.

The solicitor assigned to you will give you a candid review of your case and work with you to build a claim against those responsible for the accident. Building a case will essentially come down to the available evidence. To help your solicitor you will need to find any photos of the accident, provide them with statements from witnesses, and your solicitor will also need access to the distillery’s accident logbook. If the evidence shows that your employer was responsible for the accident, then we can work towards getting you the best compensation possible.

    What will my compensation cover?

Your distillery accident claim will be pursued to get you the highest amount of compensation that you are entitled to. For example, if you had to take time off work to recover from the accident, then any money you lost through wages can be recovered. We can also factor in any money you spent on your recovery, such as prescription charges and travelling expenses to and from hospital or doctor appointments.

To find out how much you could be entitled to you can use our online 30-second compensation calculator. Of course the best way to be sure of what you are entitled to is to call us on our 24-hour free helpline at 0800 689 0500. Alternatively you can call us on 0333 500 0993 on your mobile or text “claim365” to 88010 to have one of our advisors call you back immediately.
