"If you've been injured through no fault of your own you could be entitled to compensation. If you're unsure if you could claim, I recommend you call Accident Advice Helpline."

Construction site and building site accident compensation claims

If you’ve been injured on a construction or building site then you could make a claim for compensation – this will usually be slightly different to a personal injury claim. As an employee or contractor, your employer or the site manager has a duty to keep you safe whilst you are at work and they must take steps to protect anyone on site from danger. If you feel this hasn’t happened and that their negligence has led to your accident and subsequent injury, then contact Accident Advice Helpline.

How to decide who is liable

In order to make a successful claim for compensation, you’ll need to prove who was liable for your accident. Here are some examples of when your employer or site manager could be held liable:

    • You’ve been injured as a result of faulty machinery that has been poorly maintained
    • You were not provided with the proper training or equipment to carry out your duties and this led to an accident
    • You weren’t provided with the necessary PPE to keep you safe
    • No risk assessments or safe working procedures were implemented on site

If any of the above applies to you, you should contact a specialist personal injury lawyer to see if you could claim for construction and building site accident compensation.
