Compensation for a work accident in Cross Hands

There was a work accident in Cross Hands recently that resulted in the sad death of a young man working on a building site. Such deaths are incredibly rare in all areas of the country, but as this case showed there is the potential for them to happen from time to time.

Fortunately they are few and far between but aside from these there are other accidents that may potentially happen that seriously affect those concerned.

In any event, every accident will have a reason why it occurred in the first place. While some are simply that – accidents – others are more serious and can potentially be very difficult to recover from.

A work accident in Cross Hands in Wales might for example lead to injuries that cannot fully be recovered from for the person concerned. If negligence led to these injuries being suffered there is a chance that compensation might be warranted.

    Examples of work accidents

Work accidents can vary depending on the type of workplace involved. For example a building site presents a very different location to an office building. However work accidents could potentially occur in either location. A building site may prove dangerous if no safety measures are in place when JCBs and other pieces of machinery are being used.

In contrast, an office could be potentially dangerous if computer equipment is not serviced when it should be to ensure it is safe to use. In any situation someone might slip or trip if the floor surface is not safe.

Accident Advice Helpline has come across many hundreds of claims for all manner of injuries people have suffered at work. Compensation won by some of these claimants has made a profound difference to their lives and to their recovery from those injuries.

How can work accidents be prevented?

Clearly it is best never to be in a situation where you may be injured in the first place. Every employer has a firm duty of care to ensure they keep everyone they employ perfectly safe.

They do this by following all the health and safety rules in existence. Some may be more relevant to their business than others.
