    Compensation for injured hotel staff


    If you have ever worked in a hotel you will know how demanding and complex the work can be. There are different roles here too, such as reception staff, cleaners, maintenance staff and also those who work in the bar or restaurant area. Depending on the hotel there might also be others who work in an on-site gym or other recreation area.

    The one thing all these roles have in common is the need for those involved to be able to work in complete safety. The people who own and manage the hotel have a duty of care towards each one of their employees. There should never be any danger of anyone being in harm’s way as a result of doing their normal work.

    How might a particular situation lead to injured hotel staff?

    Injured hotel staff may get their injuries in numerous ways. While accidents are very uncommon, they do still occasionally happen. The important thing to note is how they happen. Was anyone at fault for causing them to occur? Were you at fault or were you injured because your employer did not take adequate care or observe health and safety laws in some way?

    The circumstances of all accidents are undoubtedly different. However in every case there is a need to consider what happened whenever someone is injured, particularly when it happens at work.
