    Compensation for injured film crew

Filming a movie can be a demanding and rewarding business. It is an unusual job environment to work in for the most part. While many people work in this industry, to the rest of us, it seems unusual. Many people are self-employed while others are employed by companies involved in the making of a film.

While we may read about filming going on in various parts of the country, it is quite rare to find out anything about an accident occurring on a film set. Lots of crew members will be undertaking various jobs on the set to make sure everything goes smoothly. However, it is rare for any of them to be injured. This is testament to the dedication and safety of those in charge.

    What can go wrong?

Of course things can happen to anyone working on a film set. Regardless of where the set is, there is a chance you could be injured while working at height, or while using machinery of some kind. Training and support is just as important in this workplace as it is in any other workplace.

If there is a lack of training, or equipment provided is not maintained, or someone in charge of health and safety does not do everything they should, the chances of someone being hurt will increase. There have been isolated cases where someone has been seriously hurt during an accident on a film set.

Have you been hurt while working on a film set?
