"If you've been injured through no fault of your own you could be entitled to compensation. If you're unsure if you could claim, I recommend you call Accident Advice Helpline."

    Common causes of workplace stress

You may not immediately associate stress with personal injury claims, but stress is still a condition which has been caused by other people. We don’t feel stressed for no reason, and if your workplace is causing you stress, you may be able to claim personal injury compensation for it. Most people don’t realise this, and you can get in touch with Accident Advice Helpline for advice and assistance if you’re suffering from stress at work. But what are some of the most common causes of workplace stress?

    What’s got you stressed out?

Workplace stress could be caused by a variety of different things, but here are a few examples of the most common causes of workplace stress which you could make a personal injury claim for:

    • Lack of proper rest breaks – for example your employer makes you work a full shift with no break
    • Unrealistic expectations or deadlines you can’t possibly meet
    • Lack of sufficient training to do your job, or no training at all
    • Workplace bullying, where you are made to feel useless
    • An unsafe working environment – for example you may have reported concerns to your employer and they do nothing to fix this
    • Being forced to work longer shifts than you are contracted to

If you’re suffering from stress at work, we can talk you through the process of making a personal injury claim and tell you whether you have a viable claim. You have a three-year time limit to make a claim, so it’s a good idea to record anything that is causing you stress and get in touch with us as soon as possible, to speak to one of our expert advisors.

What if I can’t afford to make a claim?

Don’t put off making a personal injury claim because you’re worried about legal fees. If you are struggling financially, you’ll be glad to hear our personal injury lawyers work on a 100% no win, no fee* basis, so there are no upfront fees to pay. You’ll still get fantastic customer service from us (we’ve been endorsed by our patron, TV personality Dame Esther Rantzen) and confidential, no-obligation advice from our team of advisors.

We’ve been helping people claim compensation since 2000, so you can trust us to get you the compensation you deserve. Just because there are plenty of common causes of workplace stress doesn’t mean that this is acceptable, so get in touch with us today on 0800 689 0500 and let’s change things.
