How to claim skateboard injury compensation

Skateboarding isn’t for everyone, but if you have the balance to stay on the board and tackle all kinds of slopes and jumps, you might actually turn out to be really good at it. This sport does have its fair share of mishaps of course – it’s easy to lose your balance or footing and take a tumble as a result.

Of course you don’t need to be the one on the skateboard to be injured. You might be walking down the street only to be hit by someone on a skateboard if they aren’t paying proper attention. Perhaps they have come round a corner not looking to see if anyone is there. This could potentially leave you in a position to be hurt if they knock straight into you.

    What about other situations?

If you’ve hired a skateboard from a shop to see what it is like to use or simply to use it at a local skate park if you are away from home, you’d expect it to be in good condition. Skateboards are fairly simple in their construction but they can still be potentially dangerous to use if the wheels are loose or there is some other problem with them.

The same applies if you buy a skateboard brand new. You wouldn’t be happy if you bought one that had problems with it. Furthermore, you wouldn’t be at all happy if those problems meant you had an accident that resulted in cuts, bruises, broken bones or other injuries that were not your fault.

How can you find out more about skateboard injury compensation?

As you can see there are all manner of situations in which injuries can occur on or with a skateboard. That’s why we would recommend you call Accident Advice Helpline. If you do, you can speak to someone who can work out whether you have a chance to claim some skateboard injury compensation.
