The kitchen is the heart of the home and it’s where the family get together to talk about their day and help with preparing dinner – so what happens when things go wrong and you’re injured in an accident in your kitchen? Or perhaps you’ve been injured in a commercial kitchen whilst working as a chef or kitchen assistant? Kitchen explosions are thankfully rare, but a faulty appliance could easily cause an explosion leading to serious injuries or even fatalities. It’s definitely worth exploring your options when it comes to kitchen explosion compensation, and here at Accident Advice Helpline we can help you to claim compensation on a 100% no win, no fee** basis.
How did the explosion happen?
Most kitchen explosions are caused by faulty gas appliances such as a gas cooker/oven. Gas appliances need to be regularly inspected and maintained to avoid the risk of a gas leak, which could ignite, leading to a fire or explosion. It might be that you have been injured in an explosion whilst working in a hotel or restaurant kitchen. If your employer didn’t have gas cookers checked regularly and has breached health and safety regulations, you could make a claim for kitchen explosion compensation.
Or perhaps you’ve been injured after a gas cooker at your home has exploded. You or your family may have suffered serious burn injuries, crush injuries, broken bones and lacerations after an explosion which could even have reduce your house (or part of your house) to rubble. Sometimes gas explosions can affect neighbours too, and it might be that your neighbour’s cooker was faulty which has left you injured. If the appliance was faulty, the manufacturer could be held liable.
