"If you've been injured through no fault of your own you could be entitled to compensation. If you're unsure if you could claim, I recommend you call Accident Advice Helpline."

How to claim injured staff compensation

The vast majority of people who head out to work each day return home later without incident. However, there are isolated instances where this has not been the case. While workplaces are generally very safe to use, there are times when the standards we would expect fall short. These times can be frustrating – and indeed painful – to those who are affected.

All kinds of accidents can have the potential to happen at work. For example you might end up being injured because you were trying to lift something without having had manual handling training. Maybe you were lifting it incorrectly and you hurt your back as a result. On the other hand it could be as simple as a slip or trip that leads to a fall. Any accident at work could result in injuries to one or more parts of the body.

How can you find out whether injuries entitle you to injured staff compensation?

Not all accidents and injuries will entitle you to claim injured staff compensation. You must be able to provide evidence that negligence led to the injuries taking place. It might be difficult to work this out to begin with, which is why it is a good idea to get help from a professional injury compensation lawyer.

All workplaces should be kept as safe as possible. When this is not the case and the employer is found to have been negligent, there is a greater chance that compensation might be paid when someone has been injured in the workplace.

Coming to terms with an injury you have sustained while at work can be tough. This is even truer when you consider the fact that injury may not have been your fault. If it was the fault of another person, whether it was your boss or not, you do have a right to consider making a compensation claim.
