"If you've been injured through no fault of your own you could be entitled to compensation. If you're unsure if you could claim, I recommend you call Accident Advice Helpline."

How to claim faulty pushchair compensation

When you buy a pushchair for your child, you expect it to be in good working order so it is safe to use. Thankfully most pushchairs meet and exceed the required standards in this way, so there is little chance anyone would end up grappling with a collapsing pushchair.

Of course, if you do buy a pushchair and your child is injured as a result of it collapsing while they are in it, you may be able to claim faulty pushchair compensation. This may also apply if something else goes wrong with the pushchair that leads your child to suffer some other kind of injury. For example they may get their fingers caught in the mechanism and suffer an injury that way.

    Faulty goods

All goods that are sold must be fit for the purpose they are intended for. Therefore, if you use your pushchair to push your child around, it is reasonable to assume that pushchair will be safe for this purpose. If you used it for any other means and something happened, you wouldn’t be able to claim. For instance, you may have used it to carry something very heavy.

However, it is clear to see that injuries caused to your child as a result of using a pushchair that turned out to be faulty could result in a claim being made. There are several companies around today (Accident Advice Helpline is one of them) that focus on taking on claims of this nature.

Seeing your child injured is never a good experience. It is frightening and very stressful, both for you as the parent and of course for your child.
