    How to claim B&B injury compensation

    Most of the time, a stay at a bed and breakfast passes without incident. You might stay en route to somewhere else, or perhaps you will use it as a base for a weekend stay somewhere in the country you want to explore more closely. Whatever the case might be, a B&B makes for a practical and cheap solution when you need to be away from home for a few nights.

    So imagine what it must feel like then to suffer an injury while staying at your chosen B&B. We all know accidents can and do occur from time to time, and it is not always the case that someone else will be the guilty party for causing them. With that said though, there are cases where people are hurt and it happens because of negligence.

    What does negligence mean in this situation?

    The owners of the B&B have a duty of care to make sure their premises are safe for their guests to use. If this isn’t the case, there could be an increased chance that someone will eventually be hurt while staying there.

    For instance, they might be hurt if the carpet is worn through and they catch their shoe in it while walking along to their room. A poorly-fitted carpet on the stairs could also be potentially dangerous.

    Injuries might also be caused by an unclean or dangerous bathroom in their room. If you have stayed in a B&B and you had an en-suite, you will know it should be clean and safe to use. If the shower tray isn’t properly fitted and it causes you to lose your balance, slip and hit your head, this could mean you have a chance to claim B&B injury compensation.
