    Bruised legs claim advice

If you’re looking for bruised leg claim advice, our friendly staff at Accident Advice Helpline will be happy to assist. Our advice is free and doesn’t mean you have to claim with us. We won’t put you under any pressure and we’re available round the clock, so you can call whenever it’s convenient.

We deal with many different types of accidents and we know that deep bruising can be a serious and distressing injury. If somebody else is to blame for your injury, whether it’s because they crashed a car into yours, or because they didn’t maintain a pavement when they should have done, we believe that they should compensate you for your suffering.

    A valid bruised leg claim

In order to have a valid claim, you will normally need to take action within three years of your accident. There’s an exception to this if you were a child at the time, in which case you can claim at any point before you turn 21. When asked for bruised leg claim advice, we always recommend starting the process early, as this will make it easier to collect evidence.

One key piece of evidence that you will need will be a medical record of your injuries. This could come from a hospital, if you received emergency treatment after the accident, or from your GP. If you are able to take photos of your bruising, this can provide a useful visual record in support of the medical notes, but it isn’t essential.

If you are aware of any witnesses to your accident, you should collect their details and pass them to a solicitor. Don’t try to take their statements yourself. You will need legal support to take things further.

    Finding a solicitor

Many people look for a solicitor simply by approaching firms in their local area, but this is likely to be expensive and it may not find you the expertise you need. It could also mean lengthy delays before somebody is free to take on your case. Because we’re a national organisation, we are able to work with over 200 solicitors and we can usually match up each client with a suitable one very quickly. We aim to connect people with solicitors that are experienced in dealing with their particular type of accident – specialist road traffic accident solicitors or sports accident solicitors, for example – to maximise their chances of success.

We work on a no win, no fee* basis, so you will never need to worry about finding money up front. If we lose the case, you won’t have to pay us anything. This gives us extra motivation to work hard to win it.

Because we know that travelling can be difficult when you’re injured, and that serious bruising can make it painful to walk, we’ll arrange for you to deal with your solicitor by phone. You’ll be able to choose how closely informed you want to be kept, but no major decision will be made without you. We’ll aim to make it as easy as possible for you to get the compensation you deserve.
