If you have suffered in a bonfire night accident that was not your fault, call Accident Advice Helpline for information about making a bonfire night accident claim.

    What is Accident Advice Helpline?

Accident Advice Helpline is a firm of personal injury lawyers. In the past it was harder to make a personal injury claim as high fees and no guarantee of success meant that they were beyond the means of most people. At Accident Advice Helpline, we believe that compensation should be available to anyone who has had an accident because of the negligence of others, no matter what their financial circumstances. We have a team of lawyers who specialise in all injury types and that work exclusively on a no win, no fee** basis so you have no need to worry about upfront costs.

    Bonfire night accidents

Bonfire night should be a fun occasion for the entire family. Who doesn’t enjoy the warmth of a bonfire or the bright colours of fireworks in the sky? Sadly, bonfire night can also be a very dangerous occasion and every year many people remember the 5th of November for all the wrong reasons.

Both fire and fireworks are common causes of bonfire night accidents. A poorly supervised fire can cause burns, which may range from painful, but short term, through to life threatening and permanently disfiguring. A firework that has been badly set off or that does not meet British safety standards can cause horrific injuries, burns, blindness, loss of fingers or even hands. If any of these injuries were caused by the negligence of others, you may be entitled to compensation.

    What to do

The most important first step for you to take after an accident is to seek urgent medical attention as any bonfire or firework injury is potentially very serious. In addition, medical documentation of your injuries can be used by your solicitor when making a personal injury claim.

    Open Claim Calculator

Try to record all the details you remember and ask any witnesses to do the same. Make sure you have the contact details of the witnesses and find out if anyone has photographs or even film of the firework event as these may also include evidence of how the accident happened.

Call our free 24-hour helpline on 0800 689 0500 or 0333 500 0993 from your mobile. Our trained advisers will discuss your case and tell you if you are entitled to compensation and how much you may be able to claim. Alternatively, use the 30-second compensation calculator to see how much compensation you may be entitled to.

    When to call

Phone us as soon as possible after the accident, as the sooner we can start working on your claim the quicker you will receive your compensation. However, we understand that you may not feel ready for this in the immediate aftermath of the accident and your priority has to be your physical and emotional recovery. Keep receipts for any costs you incur and record any money you lose through not being able to work. As long as you begin the claims process within three years of the accident, our solicitors will be able to help you make a bonfire night accident claim.
