The International Institute of Risk and Safety Management is known by the initials IIRSM for short. It provides all kinds of support and informative resources for people who work as health and safety professionals. It also supports those who work in areas related to health and safety.
As such it has a training approval scheme which aims to ensure that all courses and training provided by other providers meet the stringent requirements such a course should always provide. Health and safety is important in all walks of life: it is something we should all be aware of regardless of whether we work in this field or not. The IIRSM has done a lot of hard work already making it easier for health and safety professionals to ensure they can minimise the occurrence of all accidents, both minor and major in nature. Prevention is always much better than dealing with the outcome of an accident, and the IIRSM is certainly doing an excellent job of this.
Can we ever completely get rid of accidents?
The IIRSM is outstanding in its efforts to support health and safety workers in all areas. Of course accidents could still occur in certain situations, even when all the proper health and safety rules have been applied. There are potential hazards in every workplace but the more we can do to minimise them and educate people on how to avoid them, the safer we shall all be.
With the potential for online training and approved courses and trainers provided by the IIRSM it is good to know they are working hard to minimise the potential for accidents as much as is practicably possible.
