    Symptoms of vibration white finger: Loss of strength


    Vibration white finger is a condition which affects the muscles and nerves in the digits and is usually caused by persistent vibration movements. Symptoms can include; change of colour in the skin and numbness or tingling so can become quite a painful accident at work injury claim.

    The first thing you should do is see your doctor to get advice as there are some treatments if you do not let it progress too far. Also talk to your employer as they have a duty to ensure such accident at work injuries do not happen so they would need to look into reducing the amount of time you are exposed to constant vibration in order to reduce the risk of further damaging your hands or fingers.

    If they do not listen or take your accident at work seriously speak to your union rep as they are in breach of certain vital rights you have as an employee.
