Survivor guide: Holidaying in the Cotswolds

The Cotswolds is an area in south-central England and is one of the most popular holiday destinations in Britain.

At Accident Advice Helpline, we’ve been helping our clients to claim compensation for accidents that weren’t their fault for many years now. In this time we’ve dealt with our fair share of accidents on holiday. This has allowed us to amass expert knowledge when it comes to making the best of your holiday.

Travelling to and around the Cotswolds

The Cotswolds is served by an extensive public transport network, making it easily accessible from several major areas in the UK. If you are travelling by road, The Cotswolds is served by excellent links to the M4, M5 and M40.

Be aware that a number of serious road traffic accidents have occurred in the Cotswolds due to animals such as wild boars on the road. Ensure you stick to the speed limit and remain alert.

    Walking the hills

If you decide to undertake a hike in and around the Cotswolds, ensure that you wear appropriate footwear with adequate grip to prevent any slips, trips or falls from ruining your holiday.

    Horse riding

If you are travelling around the Cotswolds by car, you may notice that there are many horse riders. Ensure that you observe proper practice when overtaking a rider. Overtake at a slow speed and give plenty of room in order to avoid frightening a horse which could result in a serious fall from height for the rider.

If you are planning on riding a horse, ensure you wear the correct safety equipment such as a helmet and a hi-visibility jacket in order to be easily seen by motorists.

Have you had an accident in the Cotswolds?

If you’ve been injured as the result of an accident on holiday that wasn’t your fault and it happened within the last three years, you could be entitled to make a claim for travel accident compensation.

Contact Accident Advice Helpline today for more information. Our lines are open 24/7 and are staffed by friendly, professional advisors. You will be under no obligation to proceed with any claims for compensation that may be discussed over the phone.

All claims are made on a 100 per cent no-win no-fee* basis, meaning you won’t be out of pocket in the event your claim for compensation is unsuccessful. Pick up the phone and dial Freephone number 0800 689 0500, you’ve nothing to lose.
