How to stay safe on my hen/stag do in Amsterdam

How to stay safe on my hen/stag do in Amsterdam

The countdown to the wedding has begun. But before you tie the knot it is time to celebrate your last days of freedom with your hen and stag parties. Many opt to have theirs abroad so here are our tips on how to stay safe and avoid a travel compensation claim in Amsterdam whilst on your weekend.

Plan ahead to avoid a travel accident

Make sure you book any events you want to go to or any activities you want to see. This will make sure you have a solid plan but will also mean you can research in advance and choose a reputable activities centre to avoid a travel compensation claim.

    Keep your passport somewhere safe

This is vital so that you can get back home again after the weekend. If the place you are staying at has a safe put it in there, if not find a safe place to store it. The last thing you need is arriving at the airport to find it has been stolen and have to potentially make a travel claim.

    Don’’t go over the top

What seems a fun idea when you are very drunk is not always the right thing to do. If someone is not a heavy drinker then assign them the task of making sure you don’’t do anything to stupid like get a tattoo or strip the victim naked and tie them to a lamp post. Hen and stag parties are to have fun and not to humiliate the bride or groom to be or to cause them to have a travel accident.

    Only use registered taxis

All over the world there are rogue taxis. Make sure you book with a company and if in doubt ask to see some ID. The last thing you need is to get into a fake taxi and end up in a lot of trouble and potentially a very serious travel claim.

    Open Claim Calculator

Make sure to have fun and be safe to avoid a travel compensation claim. However, if you are involved in a travel accident whilst abroad or at home that wasn’’t your fault you may be able to make a travel claim.
