"If you've been injured through no fault of your own you could be entitled to compensation. If you're unsure if you could claim, I recommend you call Accident Advice Helpline."

What are the stages involved in the claim process?

When you suffer an injury or illness due to an accident that wasn’t your fault, you may consider claiming personal injury compensation for the harm you have endured.

Whether you were involved in a road traffic accident or a work-related incident, for example, you can be worried about the implications of claiming compensation, not to mention the complexity of the process including the stages involved in the claim process.

How to claim personal injury compensation

If you are considering claiming personal injury compensation, whether you were involved in a road-related accident or any other incident, you really needn’t worry about the complexities of the claims process.

Accident Advice Helpline is a law firm with over 15 years’ experience assisting victims of personal injury in receiving the award they deserve for the harm and distress their illness or injury has caused.

With our law firm behind you, you can recuperate at home, safe in the knowledge that your case is in expert hands.

Although this arrangement suits most claimants, you may want to know a little more about the legal process before you decide to pursue your claim including some ins and outs such as the stages involved in the claim process.

The ins and outs: Stages involved in the claim process

Following your accident, should you decide you want to pursue a claim for personal injury compensation, you will need to get in touch with our Accident Advice Helpline team, and start the claim process.

Once we have your details we will:

    • Investigate the accident, evaluate evidence and determine your eligibility to claim
    • Inform the defendant and their insurer of why we believe they are liable for the accident in question – the manner in which we do this may be slightly different if you have experienced a road accident
    • Usually arrange a medical appointment for you to attend, and inform you of this appointment
    • Evaluate your medical report, feedback information to you and offer a settlement amount, if available

If a liability agreement cannot be made, it is likely that court proceedings will then commence. However, this doesn’t typically happen and most of our claimants succeed with their claim without having to attend court.
