    Losing earnings while injured

Sustaining an injury caused by such incidents as an accident at work is no laughing matter. At best it can mean a bit of pain and discomfort but it can mean a lot of time off work to recover in turn, losing earnings. This can be both mentally and physically stressful as you may be isolated from the outside world. However, this time off can be used to your advantage as it gives you plenty of time to file your work injury claim.

Why would I make an accident at work claim?

If you have had an accident at work which has caused you to have time off this can cause you to lose money. Not only this but the work injury and time off could mean that you are unable to pay bills or direct debits may bounce which means extra costs for you.

By making a work injury claim you can try to get back some of the money you have lost whilst being off. If the accident at work was caused by the company’s negligence then it would only be right to make a claim to try and make up for the emotional strains it may have had on your life since the injury.

How would I go about making a work injury claim?

The first thing to do would be to gather as much information and evidence relating to your accident at work claim. If anyone saw it happen see whether they would act as a witness. Also, you may want to photograph your work injury so that you have physical evidence even after it has healed.

Once you have gathered together the evidence you should seek professional advice on whether they think you have got a potential work injury claim.
