"If you've been injured through no fault of your own you could be entitled to compensation. If you're unsure if you could claim, I recommend you call Accident Advice Helpline."

    Esther Rantzen

If I’m injured abroad, how do I make a claim?

Whether you travelling because of work, on holiday or for any other reason, there is always a certain risk of being injured abroad by slips, trips and falls, minor car accidents, or major maritime or aviation disasters.

    Common incidents

The most common accidents abroad resulting in personal injury claims are slips, trips or falls. Water slide and swimming pool accidents, plane or road accidents, food poisoning claims, and ferry or cruise ship accidents are also comparatively common.

    Making claims

Special international laws and conventions ensure that you can claim for compensation following injuries by slipping, tripping or falling (or any other kind of accident) on trains and planes or in hotels and other public places, regardless of where you happen to be injured. Accidents at sea and/or on boats are also covered by special provisions.

Accident Advice Helpline, a law firm with a nationwide legal team including a substantial number of solicitors specialised in travel accident compensation, have an unrivalled level of expertise and experience in handling claims of this type (and other types).

After your slip, fall or trip or other accident on holiday or at work abroad, make calling our law firm as soon as possible your first priority. The helpline (a freephone number) is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Our advisors are helpful, sympathetic and highly experienced, making it possible for them to quickly confirm your eligibility to claim for compensation and the likelihood of a claim being completed successfully. We can also ensure that an experienced, qualified lawyer of outstanding reputation is assigned to your case. Any personal details discussed with our team are subject to strict confidentiality.

Taking cases on under conditional fee agreements, our in-house solicitors are selected based on their experience in settling public liability claims following holiday accidents or illness abroad and are totally committed to providing you with the best possible service and, acting exclusively on your behalf, maximising the compensation you are entitled to.

    What to expect

While Accident Advice Helpline solicitors will do their best to get your claim for injury compensation settled as quickly and satisfactorily as possible, timeframes and payout amounts cannot be predicted with precision. This is largely due to the fact that the circumstances of travel accident or travel illness claims can vary significantly from one case to the next. So, give us a call today on 0800 689 0500 from a landline or 0333 500 0993 from a mobile and speak to one of our advisors for more personalised information.
