"If you've been injured through no fault of your own you could be entitled to compensation. If you're unsure if you could claim, I recommend you call Accident Advice Helpline."

True or False? Every claim takes place in a court room

Taking a claim all the way to a court room after a workplace accident, for example, has the potential to significantly prolong proceedings and increase expenses for all involved. Defendants in work injury claims, to stay with this example, often also fear the possible effects the public interest court proceedings tend to draw may have on their image as a company and subsequently their business as a whole.

    Avoiding court room processes

For this reason, it is often possible to successfully negotiate satisfactory claim settlements before personal injury claims ever make it to a court room. This is not only possible for claims following accidents at work or developing work-related illnesses, but in all types of claim, including claims for injuries by slips, trips and falls; road traffic accidents; food poisoning outbreaks and more.

The statement ‘Every claim takes place in a court room’ is therefore false.

    Expert assistance

Naturally, it is of vital importance to have a highly trained, experienced injury solicitor by your side throughout the claim process and especially during negotiations to settle a work accident claim, or indeed any other accidental injury claim, out of a court room.

    Accident Advice Helpline

While situations and circumstances surrounding them vary from one case to the next and out-of-court settlements can subsequently not be guaranteed, our in-house team of solicitors has all the necessary skills and experience to successfully negotiate early settlements in many of the cases we deal with.
