True or false? Any injury at work is claimable

If you’’ve been injured in an accident at work, you may have considered the option of claiming compensation. Compensation is a financial sum which is awarded to individuals who sustain injuries as a result of accidents that weren’’t their fault, but can you claim for any injury at work?

If you think you may have a viable claim for personal injury compensation, why not get in touch with Accident Advice Helpline?

Can you claim for any injury at work?

There’’s a common misconception that you can claim for any injury at work these days. In reality, compensation is not just handed out to anyone who has the misfortune of sustaining injuries at work and you can’t just make a claim for any injury at work.

In order to make a claim for work injury compensation, you must have sustained injuries as a result of your employer’s negligence; in other words, if you’’ve been injured at work and you weren’’t to blame, you have the right to file a claim.

In most cases related to work injuries, people who claim have suffered severe injuries which have resulted in them having to take time off work. If you only sustained mild injuries and they had no impact on your day-to-day life or general health, it may be best to try and avoid making a claim.
