    Accident in Winchester?

Winchester is the county town of Hampshire and is located in the gorgeous South Downs National park. It is picturesque, green and has the feel of olde-worlde about it, but if you want activity and fun, Winchester is the perfect stop. From rambling to mountain biking, Winchester has it all, but whilst you should of course have fun, you should always make sure that safety is your priority.

The South Downs National Park in Winchester is a must for all activity lovers and view seekers, and if you want to see this area at its best, then rambling is a great way to see everything. There is a popular rambling network in Winchester, especially near the chalk hills, which has many popular walking trails, but when you choose to embark on an exploration, it’s paramount that you keep safe. There are hills, uneven ground and slippery surfaces in this area, which can cause a whole parade of different injuries from slips, trips and falls. Making sure you wear sensible clothing and footwear and walking at a sensible pace can help you stay at a low risk of a slip or trip accident whilst rambling, and ensuring that you don’t leave without a basic first aid kit.

    Mountain biking

If mountain biking is more your bag, then Winchester offers mountain biking, which can be enjoyed across the South Downs, allowing you to cycle whilst taking in the views. However, slips and falls are very common with bikers, so it’s important that you wear a helmet when mountain biking. Even the most experienced mountain biker wears protective head gear and a simple helmet can save you from scrapes, cuts and head injuries if you were to suffer a fall from your bike.

    Horse riding

What better way to soak up the joys of Winchester and South Downs than on horseback? Although romantic, horse riding is not without its risks of a fall or slip. Make sure that when you choose to go horse riding you take the instructor’s advice and wear the correct gear that is recommended to you. Horse riding can be fun, but carries risks of fall injuries for novice riders and a public place fall is never memorable for the right reasons.
