Accidents & Injuries at Work

Have you been injured in an accident at work?

Don’t worry, you may well be able to make a compensation claim. Get in touch with Accident Advice, and our panel will use their expertise to ensure that you are paid the maximum possible accident compensation.

When should you contact us about your work accident claim?

The simple answer is as soon as possible – the sooner we know about your problem, the sooner we can help you solve it!

Usually, successful accident claims are made when the accident being claimed for is not the fault of the injured party, so please bear this in mind.

What else to do if you want to claim for a work injury

You might want to find out a little more about us, and take a look at some of our other pages. We have one specifically devoted to work accidents that we hope you’ll find helpful, as well as a more personal angle for your reassurance.

Please click on the links to see what Steve and Peter have to say - they are just two of the people injured at work who we’ve helped with their injury compensation claims, and there are also some other case studies you can take a look at to gain more insight into making an injury compensation claim.

Helping us help you to claim for your work injury

Collecting as much information as possible about your injury is vital - we’d like to know all the circumstances and any details. So if, for example, you’ve been hurt by machinery, let us know what you were doing, the kind of machinery you were operating, and any other important information.

If there was anyone around who saw what happened, please be sure to get their details, as that’ll help us prove that the accident wasn’t your fault.

Make sure that you seek medical attention as soon as possible. Even if the injury doesn’t seem serious, you need to find this out for sure, and a doctor’s report detailing the injury is also very useful evidence. Also be sure to keep receipts for any treatment or medication, so that we can claim it back for you later.

Indemnity Insurance and how it relates to work accident claims

By law, every UK company is required to purchase indemnity insurance. This means that when people sustain injuries at work, the company is protected – they don’t pay the compensation, the insurance company do. So don’t be worried about taking money from your employer, because that’s not how it works – indemnity insurance is there to help in precisely this kind of situation.
